Hello!

I'm a multi-faceted artist based in New Zealand with roots in Japan and Malaysia where I spent some of my childhood. My first camera was a disposable film camera as a child, but I didn't actively pursue photography until 2014 when I became somewhat unsatisfied with the quality of my phone camera and finally invested in my first mirrorless digital camera.

Looking back at my treasured childhood albums, I fell in love with the simplicity of film photography and its ability to create nostalgia and yearning in a single frame. I love bringing this same quality across into digital photography and despite the luxury of being able to retake a shot without feeling the guilt of wasting film, I often find that the first intuitive shot I took in a series ends up being my favourite.

Through my lens, I hope to leave something beautiful, meaningful and long-lasting behind.
